Blog Post #3: Letter to a Character

**The following is an example of Blogger #5: Letter to Character written by fellow PreAP 10 teacher, Ms. Rabaya.  Here, Ms. Rabaya writes as Hermione from the Harry Potter book series.**

Dear Ron,

I don't where you are. I don't know whether to be mad or miss you. Sometimes I just want to yell at you for being so stubborn. But at this very moment, I choose worry. I worry that the Death Eaters have found you. I worry that they are torturing you. I worry that you are dead. If somehow this letter finds you, know that both me and Harry are worried about you and hope that you are safe.

Everything went wrong after we left the Ministry of Magic. We had no where to go, and so out of force we had to live like nomads. We had to go place to place to protect ourselves. If we stayed in one location, we would have been found. Maybe it was the lack of communication with the outside world that got to you. It must've worried you sick that you didn't know how your family was doing. 

But you knew the risks going into this. Finding Horcruxes was NEVER going to be like drinking butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks. But I get it, our progress was slow. We didn't know where to start. I had the ideas, Harry had plans to execute them, and maybe you felt left out. You clearly felt like the third wheel in this "grand adventure" that was leading us nowhere. 

You've lived in the shadows of your family for so long. Bill was head boy. Charlie was captain of Quidditch. Percy's a prefect. And Fred and George have their joke shop. This adventure was your time to shine, but instead it has left you tired and unhappy. You were splinched when we left the Ministry of Magic, leaving you wounded and again feeling inferior. 

But this isn't you Ron. You are stronger than this. You are so many things-loyal, strong, and brave. It was the Horcrux. They said that wearing it too long would be bad. It brought out sides of you that I've never seen-jealousy, anger, hate. The Horcrux made you leave us. The real Ron, the Gryffindor, wouldn't have done this. 

Dumbledore left you the the Deluminator for a reason. You see it as useless, but there is a reason he left it. Find out that reason and come back to us. We miss you, more importantly, I miss you.
